A group environment provides benefits separate and unique to one-on-one sessions. Clients experience a sense of community, feel less isolated, and have a great sense of responsibility to follow through on commitments. Learning from others’ experiences. They can enhance creativity and obtain courage to try something new. A group environment also allows the opportunity to learn from others' experiences.
Understanding what stress is and the physical reactions it causes in the mind and the body is the first step in reducing its impact on a client's weight loss. Relaxation techniques, aspects from the other core pillars of the program, and other tools are integrated into lifestyle modification. At the same time, work on reducing/eliminating the stress/negative emotions often caused by rigid dieting rules that automatically set us up for failure.
Getting adequate, quality sleep is an important part of a healthy weight loss plan. Most importantly, losing sleep while dieting can reduce the amount of weight lost, encourage overeating, and increase the stress response within the body. Stress and bad habits can lead to broken and disturbed sleep. We work to change your hygiene so you can nourish your brain with sleep. Who doesn't want to wake up refreshed and ready for the day?
There is no one-size fits all strategy that works for all women. Losing weight is mostly about eating and a little about training. Anecdotal evidence from others about what worked for them might (not) work for you. A basic understanding of nutrition and fitness principles is provided. You are encouraged and supported as you decide what a flexible, realistic, and sustainable weight loss and maintenance lifestyle looks like for you.
